I am pretty sure once the temperature goes below 20, it's just cold no matter what the number says. 25-30 you're still OK, but once it gets in the teens, eh- it's just really cold. So this morning after my 10 mile run I checked the outside temperature, 9 degrees. Cold.
I wore a long sleeve, short sleeve, thin jacket and a fleece jacket, a ninja mask, a hat, tights, ankle covering socks, and mittens. I did alright. My tummy was bright pink as were my legs. Not sure if that is avoidable but it wasn't that bad.
The run itself was fine. Whenever I push the speed, the next day I have to remind myself to reign in the horses and just relax, no pushing but even still when I get to about 3 miles away alls I want to do is get there and it's hard to not push.
I did see my principle on her way to school this morning at 5:30!! Not sure what is crazier, that I was out running or she was headed into school!
10 miles done, not super speedy but almost exactly the same time out and back, which is interesting.
Tomorrow, to the gym or to the pool or the roads?
On an awesome note, my 4th graders thought I was in my 20's --A's for all of them!
