winter has arrived.

So, at the end of October we had a world is ending type of storm, where people didn't have power for days on end, power lines were down everywhere and huge trees snapped in half like they were tooth picks. It was crazy. Everyone was scared but even more freaked out thinking that maybe Winter had come and was staying in October, but no. Winter came for 24 hours made a disaster and then took off until now. Almost 3 months and we haven't seen a snow flake. Almost as crazy as the crazy storm. Since the storm though, I have definitely opted to run inside when the wind kicks up. There are still dangling limbs that could certainly crush me if they fell. Tomorrow, however is the first real deal snow storm, they are "predicting" 4-6 inches which could really be 1-2 inches or 12 inches, you just never know with the weather people or New England weather.

I had some pain in my left ankle this morning, so I hit the pool for a 47 minute aqua jog. Tomorrow hoping for 2+ hours, it's been awhile since I have gone super long. It may not be a long distance with the snow but just moving for a few hours. Some of my favorite runs last year were the 5am snow runs. We would come up a hill and there would be the moon shining over a snow covered field. I actually like to stop, even for a second to admire the things we see. This fall I made a friend stop to look at the stars. There were no street lights, just our two little head lamps and a sky full of stars, incredible really. I don't carry a camera so I have to stop just to soak it in and take it with me.
It will be day light tomorrow, and my guess is there will be snow. A ver que pasa...we'll see happens.
