Man, this winter is the exact polar opposite of last winter. I read in the newspaper the other day in the month of January last year we received 54 inches of snow and this January 5.8 inches of snow. I can attest for the insane amounts of snow last year, I was out there at 5:15am trying to get in double digit runs.
So this morning we headed out for a 11.1 mile run, the temperature was really nice. My guess mid 30's and every now and then we would run through these warm air pockets which is always a little weird feeling but also kind of awesome. There is such a huge difference between running in 0-20 degree weather vs 30 and up. I felt good, my body felt relaxed. We did a lot of climbing today. 3 Major climbs and one short and steep climb, but with chatting the miles seemed to tick on by which was great. Our pace felt good too. It was a great run this morning and it really made look forward to Spring!
The big question for me today is: do I accept an invitation to do a track work out tomorrow or hit the pool?
I did a quick pool work out yesterday, in the big pool. I am starting to not mind it as much. I just have to get in and get moving as quick as soon as possible.
31.8 running miles logged so far ...hoping to hit 50 this week.
Dang, 69 days till Boston!!!! Yee yee!!!!
